MY LAND , HOMELAND ! KHAJURAHO

In the Indian state MADHYA PRADESH ,my homeland, is the Khajuraho village. This village has a group of monuments which are included in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The large number of medieval Hindu and Jain temples with the famous sculptures has made Khajuraho one of the most popular tourist destinations in India. These temples were built between 950 and 1050 by the Chandela kings. 

Khajuraho has been mainstream of attraction to all the tourist who  decide to visit  this beautiful place.

The structures of the Khajuraho temples are similar to the style of the north-Indian shikhara temple and also to Panchayatana plan. Few of the temples are Jain temples and the others are Hindu temples. The Hindu temples are dedicated to Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva and also to different goddesses.

These temples are famous for the carvings on their walls. Some of the carvings on the external walls bear bold artistic statements but the art inside the temples or near the gods present simple facts of life. In the temples with two layers of walls, the outer sides of the inner walls have small carvings which depict that a person has to leave his/her luxurious desires outside the temple before seeing the deity. These arts also show that, like the gods, spirituality should also be pure.

Most of the carvings on the walls show human, their bodies and also the facts of life. The carvings present the everyday life of a common man in India during that time when they were made. At earlier times when boys were sent to Gurukuls (school), through these sculptures they learnt about the world and also made themselves ready to become householders when they grew.

IS OUR SOCIETY REALLY RISING?                                                                                            Some question just don't need any more detailed answer than this, She is not virgin ,society would say she is characterless and reality is , she had a relationship.  WE DECIDE !
She loves wearing modern outfits doesn't mean she wants to provoke boys , truth is , she loves wearing modern outfits. WE DECIDE !
She love hanging out with friends, society would say ladki haanth se nikal gayi and the truth is very different , she's gregarious and loves going out. WE DECIDE !
She mostly wear a smile when she talk or speak , Society would say she is actually interested to build a relationship, truth is , she has a charming personality. WE DECIDE !
Whenever She party , She booze . Society say, she's a girl with low morals , truth may  be she's just fond of drinking at parties. WE DECIDE !
She work in night shifts , society say , she must be into something immoral and Reality is , her work demands so. WE DECIDE !
She touch pat and hug their male friends. Society would say , she wants to have sex with them. Reality is just she feels comfortable with them. WE DECIDE !
THESE MESSAGES BRING ME BACK TO ASK A VERY IMPORTANT QUESTION.
IS OUR SOCIETY REALLY RISING ? Think about it !

Time to change ourselves

If u wear a saree, u will get raped If u wear a churidar, u will get raped If u wear a burkha, u will get raped So, the problem is not her dressing If u are seven, u get raped If u are seventeen, u will get raped If u are seventy, u will get raped So, the problem is not with her age If u are hindu, u will get raped If u are muslim, u will get raped If u are christian u will get raped So, the problem is not her religion If u are a mother, u will get raped If u are a wife, u will get raped If u are a daughter, u will get raped So, the problem doesn't lie in her societal status Then, what is the real problem? The real problem lies within us. No law and order can change us.. unless we change ourselves So why to blame the system? change the culture... Be in humanity Be a Man.. Respect Women

Every woman has a past. Some were physically abused. Some had violent parents. Some had pubertal issues. Some had sexual abuse as a child from their own family members. Some had messed up love stories. Some had been forced into sex in the name of love. Some had been drugged. Some were date raped. Some had been viciously photographed on bed. Some had been blackmailed by their ex-boyfriend. Some were in an abusive relationship. Some had menstrual problems. Some had a broken family. Some had a divorce. Some had an obesity issue. Some had financial droughts. Some had drug or alcohol addiction. Some had a few unsuccessful suicide attempts.

If you see a woman, who went through any of these but had already wiped her tears, tied her hair up, masked her sorrows with a divine smile, stood tall and strong, started walking towards her future because she still has some hope left inside her and has not given up on the concept of love that still exists in this world, do not stab her with her past. Do not confront her. Do not slap her with more abuse. Give way for her and walk beside her. May be hold her hands and walk for a while. You'll know how sweet that soul is and how strong her hopes are! You'll be amazed at how she carries herself after all her energy has been sucked out.

She need not always be only the woman next door or from a different home. She could be your own friend, your own sister, your own girlfriend, your own wife, even may be your own mother. Do not judge her by her past. Gift her the peaceful future that she deserves. Hold her hands against the world, which knows only to judge. 

Give her the love that she always yearned for.
Love  respect women.
